RATES
AVANTI operates a simple charging system divided into four categories. The charging rates assume a translation
of a text from, or into, either Dutch or English. In the event that neither the source language nor target language
are either Dutch or English – i.e. two ‘foreign’ languages – then the charging rate will fall within the highest
category.
Please note: all translations are charged according to the word totals of the source texts.
This means that you know in advance precisely how much a translation will cost. Indeed, you will usually be able
to calculate the price yourself. Another advantage is that translations within the same price category will cost
the same, whatever the target language. Suppose, for example, that you ask us to translate a Dutch brochure into
French, German and English. The cost will be exactly the same for each of these three languages, since the Dutch
source text is the same for each translation and it is this text which determines the price. Isn’t it reassuring
to know that you can never be caught unawares by the cost?
